Abigail Leigh Reaser, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Joel M. Reaser of Reston, was married to Joseph Adam Hurst, son of Dr. Charles G. Hurst of Abingdon, Md., and Mrs. Marcia C. Hurst of Severna Park, Md., on Aug. 13, 2004 at Meadowlark Botanical Gardens in Vienna. The Rev. Robert L. Rohrbaugh, uncle of the bride, officiated the ceremony.

Amanda Gibbons served as maid of honor. The bridesmaids were Carrie Nygard, Julia Pritt, Elizabeth Callagy, Lauren Rudolph and Leslie Greenlee. Caroline and Emily Glass served as flower girls and Gabriel Seaver was the ring bearer.

Peter Hurst, brother of the groom, served as best man. The groomsmen were Michael Duncan, Jeremy Schneider, Jeremy Osborne, Matthew Hart and Vincent Lowman.

The bride is a graduate of South Lakes High School in Reston and Gettysburg College in Gettysburg, Pa. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in counseling psychology at Florida State University in Tallahassee, Fla. The groom is a graduate of Severna Park High School in Maryland and Radford University in Radford, Va. He is head Web designer for the FSU/FAMU College of Engineering.

Mary Marroquín of Centreville and Herb Marroquín of Hesperia, Calif., announce the engagement of their daughter, Jenna L. Marroquín to Charles “Chuck” M. Charpentier, son of Sandy Chenault and Chuck D. Charpentier of Sterling. The bride-to-be is a recent graduate of the Yvonne de Vilar Scientific Skin Care school and is currently working for The International Dermal Institute in Chantilly. She is a 1997 graduate of South Lakes High School in Reston. The Future groom is a consultant for Network Management Inc. in Vienna. They are planning a December 2005 wedding.

Navy Petty Officer 3rd Class Paul B. Jones Jr., son of Paul Jones Sr. of Reston, recently departed on a routine, scheduled deployment as part of Expeditionary Strike Group 5, while assigned to the guided-missile destroyer U.S.S. Milius, home ported in San Diego. During the deployment, Jones and his fellow shipmates helped the Spanish Red Cross to provide clean water for tsunami victims by transporting Spanish water purifiers to a remote area of Indonesia. U.S.S. Milius provides multi-mission offensive and defensive capabilities. The ship and crew perform anti-submarine, air and surface warfare by using the Vertical Launching System, advanced Tomahawk and anti-aircraft missiles and a multi-function phased array radar.

Jones is a 2001 graduate of Oneida Baptist Institute of Oneida, Ky., and joined the Navy in September 2001.
