Investigators are asking for the public's assistance in identifying a female suspect caught on video surveillance after she allegedly robbed a Sterling bank early Sunday, Aug. 28, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.
The woman, described as being a white female, 5 feet 2 inches tall with a thin build, walked into the Giant Grocery Store in the Town Center Plaza shortly before 12:15 p.m. and approached the teller of the Chevy Chase Bank inside. The woman displayed a note to the teller and implied she had a weapon although no weapon was brandished during the incident.
The woman fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash. She was last seen wearing a black shirt and a light-colored, bucket-style hat. The suspect may have left in a dark-colored Volkswagen two-door coupe.
