Christopher P. Hodges, P.E., CFM has been re-elected as president of the Capital Chapter of the International Facility Management Association (CCIFMA) of Fairfax, effective July 1. CCIFMA is the largest chapter of IFMA, offering educational, social, networking and community programs to its nearly 800 members in the metropolitan area. Hodges served as president of CCIFMA from 2002-2003. While in term, CCIFMA was awarded Chapter of the Year for excellence in strategic planning, membership growth and retention, professional development, programming, fundraising and community service.
James Monroe Bank announced the appointment of Richard A. Hutchison and John L. Carter to oversee the expansion and general operations of James Monroe Mortgage, a division of James Monroe Bank, on Monday, July 25. Hutchison and Carter are both natives of Northern Virginia and were formerly with Community Bank of Northern Virginia. Hutchison brings 28 years of retail banking experience and was a senior officer and part of the management team at Community Bank. Prior to working for Community Bank, Carter owned and operated ELS Mortgage in Fairfax. Carter's 18-year experience includes mortgage company ownership and management. Hutchison-Carter will merge existing mortgage operations of James Monroe Bank into James Monroe Mortgage with the main office located at 4211 Pleasant Valley Road, Chantilly. In his new role, Hamilton will be responsible for developing strategic marketing programs, developing and maintaining strong business relationships, identifying and qualifying business opportunities and conducting competitive analysis. Prior to joining OMNIPLEX, Hamilton served as director of national security programs for Reston-based Intelligence Data Systems. OMNIPLEX World Services Corporation is a privately held company based in Chantilly with an annual revenue of $100 million.
R.W. Murray Co. has been awarded a general contracting services award for their upscale masonry restaurant and retail center by Middleburg-based The Long Companies. The 21,626 SF project will be located at 5005-5009 West Stone Plaza Drive, near the new cloverleaf at Route 28 and Westfields Boulevard in Chantilly. Madison Retail Group is managing the leasing of the project. The project will cost approximately $2.39 million to complete, and Fairfax-based Zivic & Hurdle are providing architectural services. Lester Carver of R.W. Murray Co. is the project manager. The retailers anticipated are: Moe's Southwest Grill, Quizno's, Cingular Wireless, Scotto's, Allure Salon, Eggspectation and Ghang's Dry Cleaners. The center is expected to be completed in September.

"Kellie's selection recognizes her involvement in state and local politics as a grassroots activist.
