The Loudoun County Department of Social Services' Housing Services Division provides "Homeownership 101" workshops to assist potential first-time home buyers in understanding the entire home buying process. The six-hour workshop covers a number of topics relating to home ownership, including budgeting, credit, working with Realtors, the mortgage process and what to expect at settlement.
The next workshop is scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 23, and Thursday, Aug. 25, from 5:30-8:30 p.m., at the Town of Leesburg Safety Center, 65 Plaza St., N.E. Attendance at both sessions is required. Additional workshop dates and locations are posted on the Loudoun County Government Web site at www.loudoun.gov/housing.
