"Secular, Humanistic Judaism: Its history, proponents and perspectives," program takes place June 26, at 4 p.m. Guest speaker is Rabbi Ben Biber of Congregation Machar. Following the program, participants can meet at The Old Country Buffet in Fair City Mall.
JCCNV Senior Connection: Coffee, Cards and Conversation. Fill your Tuesday mornings with cards, conversation and laughter. Senior Connection meets on Tuesdays at 9:30 a.m.
JCCNV Games and Conversation. Monday Mornings, from 10 a.m. to noon. Fill your Monday mornings with games such as Scrabble, Mah Jongg, Cards, Rummikub and others. This is an informal, drop-in activity. Coffee, tea and refreshments are provided. Cost is $2 for members and $3 for nonmembers.

Social Skills/Therapy Groups. Weekly meetings open to children who have difficulty in social situations because of ADHD or other challenges. Learn appropriate social behavior, listening, problem solving, dealing with emotions and making friends.
Get Connected: Adult Social Skills. Open to men and women ages 19-30 who may have Asperger's Syndrome and are having difficulty transitioning into successful young adulthood. Group meets weekly through May.
Support Groups for parents of Children with Special needs. Open to parents of children with ADHD, Asperger's Syndrome and other developmental issues.
Anger Management, for ages 11 to 13. Meet to focus on the process of anger, the process of feelings and the ability to improve one's anger management. Weekly sessions from February through June.
Parent Symposium: "Helping Your Child Improve Social Skills." This workshop focuses on helping elementary school-age children improve essential skills such as taking turns, making conversation, reading nonverbal cues, controlling impulses and cooperating. Group meets on March 2, from 7-9 p.m. Cost is $20 per person.
Sandwiched: Caregiving For Children and Aging Parents. Topics include coping with stressors associated with the challenges of raising children while worrying about frail parents. Group meets March 14, April 18 and May 16, from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Bereavement Support Group for Widowed Persons. Topics include coping with loss, stress, making decisions and other experiences commonly associated with grief. Group meets on Wednesdays through April 13, from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Breast Cancer Support Group of Jewish Women. This free support group meets to discuss the challenges and issues unique to Jewish women coping with breast cancer. Group meets monthly on Thursdays beginning March 12, from 7-9 p.m. To register, call 703-359-0202.
Girl Talk. Open to adolescent girls, meet weekly to focus on overcoming difficulties with peers, social skills and other age-appropriate issues.
