All Fired Up

Potters at Glen Echo hope that they've created a small piece of Wonderland inside of the center's pottery Yurt. Tea sets made by Glen Echo students and instructors are on display as part of the "Mad Hatter's Tea Party" exhibition through April 30. The exhibition is being put on in connection with the Glen Echo Puppet Company's production of "Alice in Wonderland" April 20-June 2.

The Wonderland-themed pieces are on display along with a rotating collection of the potters' other work. All of the pieces are available for sale, although the "Tea Party" pots must remain at the center through the end of the show.

Glen Echo offers year-round classes in pottery and other arts, as well as a nature center, historic carousel, and other attractions.
