Players and coaches from the Central Springfield Little League gathered at Trailside Park, in the shadow of the Springfield Interchange, for Opening Day Ceremonies on Friday, April 8. Attending dignitaries included Board of Supervisors Chairman Gerry Connolly (D-At-large); U.S. Rep. Tom Davis (R-11); Del. Mark D. Sickles (D-43); Del. Dave Albo (R-42); Greg Budnik, CSLL director of park development; Jim McKay, chief of staff for Supervisor Dana Kauffman (D-Lee); and Kevin Cheezum, Little League District 9 (VA) Administrator.
