Once again Edison High School theatre has "magic to do" with its spring production of Stephen Schwartz's classic, "Pippin." The troupe has undergone a change in director since its last musical but, rises to the challenge of putting on a superb production which will delight the audience and showcase the gifts of Edison's actors.
The Leading Players tell the darkly comic story of Pippin, son of the 8th-Century King Charlemagne, who attempts to combat his feeling of meaninglessness and find his true calling in life. He goes through battles, relationships, political turmoil and other pursuits before finding fulfillment in domesticity.
Choreographer Christina Tucker fuses her experience in ballet with the Fosse style of the original production of "Pippin." The actors are encouraged to add their own personality into the dance moves
