<cal1>Arrest / Fugitive From Justice
<cal2>10302 Willard Way / Courthouse Plaza. On Sept. 17 at around noon, officers responded to the area for a report of two males entering businesses and acting suspicious. Officers located them and began speaking with them. One of the suspects was found to be wanted in Montgomery County on two outstanding warrants. He is identified as Kevin Scott, 50, of the 2700 block of Robertson Place, S.E. Washington, D.C. He was placed under arrest and taken to the jail where he was charged with being a Fugitive From Justice. His bond was set at $5,000.
<cal1>Arrest / Robbery
<cal2>3201 Old Lee Highway / Home Depot. On Sept. 18 at 1:17 p.m., officers responded to a report of a robbery at the store. When officers arrived they were told that employees were chasing the suspect in the area of the Fox Croft Condominiums. After a short foot pursuit, an officer was able to apprehend the suspect. He was identified as Arnold Shayne Kelley, 44, of the 900 block of 6th Street S.W., Washington, DC. Investigation revealed that the victim was standing in the store when she observed the suspect pulling her wallet from her purse. She grabbed the suspect arm and began screaming for help. As he was fleeing the store, he dropped his wallet and stopped to retrieve it. As he did, a citizen tackled him. A struggle began between the two but the suspect was able to break free and run from the store, with the employees in pursuit. The officer then arrested the suspect. The suspect was taken to the jail where he was charged with Robbery. He was held without bond.
<cal1>Arrest / Threats to Bomb
<cal2>10396 Democracy Lane / Probation and Parole Office. On Sept. 22 at 1:57 p.m., officers responded to the office for a report of a subject making a threat to bomb the office. Officers arrived and located the suspect. He was identified as Christopher Purnell Bush, 24, of the 8200 block of Spring Meadow Drive, Lorton. Investigation revealed that the suspect had become upset after meeting with his probation officer. As he was walking out of the office, he stated that he would blow the place up. He was arrested and taken to the jail where a magistrate issued a warrant for Making a Threat to Bomb or Burn a Building. He was then held without a bond.
<cal1>Assault
<cal2>11218 Lee Highway / 7-Eleven. On Sept. 18, an officer responded to Fair Oaks Hospital for a report of an assault. The victim stated that on Sept. 17, he was cut by an unknown person while in front of the store. The Criminal Investigations Division is investigating the case.
<cal1>Larceny
<cal2>11201 Main St. / Jermantown Shell. On Sept. 17 at 12:30 p.m., an unknown male pumped gasoline into a vehicle and then left without paying.
9602 Main St. / Lifetime Fitness. On Sept. 18 between 7:30 a.m. and 8:30 p.m., unknown person(s) stole a cellular phone, laptop computer and other items from a vehicle parked in the lot of the business.
3700 Old Lee Highway / Van Dyke Park. On Sept. 18, the victim reports that his cellular phone accidentally fell off of his belt while at the park. When he called his phone, a male answered the phone but would not identify himself and then hung the phone up. There are no suspect(s) at this time.
10330 Layton Hall Drive / Layton Hall Apartments. Sometime between Sept. 17 and Sept. 18, unknown person(s) gained entry into a vehicle parked at the complex. Once inside, the car stereo and several CDs were stolen.
10306 Eaton Place / Digital Net. Sometime between Sept. 16 and Sept. 17, unknown person(s) stole two laptop computers from the business.
10480 Lee Highway / Exxon. On Sept. 20 at 1:25 p.m., a male subject pumped gasoline into his vehicle and then left without paying.
10800 block of Maple Street. Sometime between Sept. 21 and Sept. 22, unknown person(s) stole items from a vehicle left unlocked in front of the residence.
11166 Main St. / Campbell & Woodruff P.C. On Sept. 22 at 4:45 p.m., the victim stated that she observed a black male wondering through the office. When she confronted him about his business there, he stated he was looking out the window. The suspect then left the office. When the victim looked in her purse, she found her wallet missing. There is no suspect at this time.
10784 Lee Highway / Merchants Tire. On Sept. 13 at 1 p.m., the victim reports that he accidentally left his laptop computer in the business while having a tire repaired. When he returned approximately an hour later, he could not locate the computer.
3535 Chain Bridge Road / Best Western. On Sept. 20 between 4 p.m. and 4:30 p.m., unknown person(s) stole an employees cellular phone left unattended in the business.
<cal1>Robbery
<cal2>Lee Highway & Rebel Run. On Sept. 23 around 2:30 p.m., three students were standing at the sidewalk when they were approached by several subjects in a dark colored vehicle. Several male suspects then exited the vehicle and began asking them questions. One of the male suspects then punched one of the victims in the face, knocking him to the ground. The other suspects began assaulting the other two victims. One victim’s wallet was taken and another had his CD player and football jersey stolen. All of the suspects then fled the area in the vehicle. The Criminal Investigations Division is investigating the case.
<cal1>Stolen Auto
<cal2>10570 Main St. / Mosby Apartments. On Sept. 17, the complainant came to the police station and reported that a friend had stolen his vehicle. The victim stated that on June 30, he let the suspect take his green 1993 Acura Integra so that he could repair the brakes on it. The vehicle was to be returned on July 1. At the time of this report, the vehicle or the suspect could be located and the complainant believes that the suspect may have left the area. The Criminal Investigations Division is investigating the case.
11101 Main St. / Ted Britt Ford. Sometime between Sept. 3 and Sept. 10, unknown person(s) stole a white 2004 Ford Pickup from the dealership lot. The Criminal Investigations Division is investigating the case.
<cal1>Vandalism
<cal2>9846 Fairfax Square / Fairfax Square Apartments. Sometime between Sept. 17 and Sept. 18, unknown person(s) broke out a window on a vehicle parked at the complex.
9650 Main St. / Fair City Mall. On Sept. 18 between 1 p.m. and 11 p.m., unknown person(s) scratched the paint on a vehicle parked at the mall.
3535 Chain Bridge Road / Best Western. Sometime between Sept. 18 and Sept. 19, unknown person(s) slashed the tires on four vehicles parked at the motel.
11090 Lee Highway / Shell. Sometime between Aug. 24 and Aug. 25, unknown person(s) cracked a window to the business.
10324 Layton Hall Drive / Layton Hall Apartments. Sometime between Sept. 17 and Sept. 20, unknown person(s) spray painted graffiti on the exterior wall of the apartment building.
3900 block of Wilcoxson Drive. On Sept. 21 between 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., unknown person(s) damaged a vehicle parked in front of a residence.
