W.T. Woodson High School’s National Art Honor Society sponsors its third anual Coffeehouse on Friday, Oct. 29, from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. at the high school. The event combines a gallery of student artwork, with performances by student bands, in a “coffeehouse atmosphere.” There will be desserts and free Starbuck coffee. The event raises money for the National Art Honor Society.
Teresa Lin of Burke recently competed in the U.S. Figure Skating South Atlantic Regional Championships in Columbia, S.C. Teresa is a junior at Lake Braddock Secondary School.
Kristen Garaffo, Christine Nguyen, Danny Yoerges and Daneil Paris of Hayfield Secondary School were selected to perform in the Virginia State Honors Choir on Saturday, Nov. 20, at the Virginia Music Educatore Conference in Norfolk. Nick Peterson and Latham Gunn were selected as alternates.
