Screechy, Scratchy, Squashy Tales. Dolley Madison Library presents Halloween stories and activities, on Wednesday, Oct. 20, at 10:30 a.m. Open to ages 3-5 with adult. For more information, call 703-356-0770. Dolley Madison Library is located at 1244 Oak Ridge Ave., McLean.
Halloween Party. Vienna Parks and Recreation Department sponsors a Halloween party for Vienna area sixth graders on Friday, Oct. 22, from 3:30-6 p.m., at Club Phoenix Teen Center, 120 Cherry St., S.E., Vienna. Event includes food, games and a costume contest. Free. for more information, call 703-255-6360.
Hallow Screen. The Town of Vienna presents a family Halloween movie on Friday, Oct. 22, around 7 p.m., at Glyndon Park. Participants are asked to bring lawn chairs or blankets for seating, and children must stay with their parents during the movie. Free. Haunted House. The Dunn Loring Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department sponsors its annual Haunted House at Fire Station 13, 2148 Gallows Road. Tickets are $7 and can be purchased at the door. For more information, call 703-560-9413. Times are as follows:
* Friday, Oct. 22, from 8-11 p.m.
* Saturday, Oct. 23, from 6-11 p.m.
* Sunday, Oct. 24, from 6-11 p.m. Also, for younger thrill seekers, there is a Lights-On program for children who are just learning to enjoy haunted houses, taking place from 2-4 p.m. Tickets are $3.
* Monday, Oct. 25, from 6-10 p.m.
Monster Madness. Bob Brown's silly monster marionettes provide not-so-scary fun for all ages on Saturday, Oct. 23, at Tysons-Pimmit Regional Library. Activities begin at 2 p.m. To register, call 703-790-8088. Tysons-Pimmit Regional Library is located at 7584 Leesburg Pike.
Halloween Parade. The Vienna-Tysons Regional Chamber of Commerce and the Town of Vienna host the 58th annual Vienna Halloween Parade on Wednesday, Oct. 27, at 7 p.m., beginning on Maple Avenue. The parade will be broadcast on Oct. 31, at 5:30 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 6, at 11 a.m. For more information, call 703-281-1333.
Spooky Pooches. Gooddogz.org Inc. sponsors the Spooky Pooch Costume Contest and 58th annual Vienna Halloween Parade on Wednesday, Oct. 27, at 6:45 p.m., starting at Berry Street. Haunted Park. Vienna Parks and Recreation Department sponsors "Haunting in the Park," a guided tour through Vienna's haunted Glyndon Park, on Friday, Oct. 29 and Oct. 30, at 7:30 p.m., 8:15 p.m., 9:15 p.m., 10 p.m. and 10:45 p.m. Tickets are $3 and must be purchased in advanced at the Vienna Community Center, 120 Cherry St., S.E. Halloween Fun Fair. On Saturday, Oct. 30, from 4-7 p.m., at the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, 1545 Chain Bridge Road, McLean. Come in costume, play games, make crafts and taste treats. Free Cab Rides.
