Although the sun didn't shine, the rain did stop long enough for the annual Herndon High School Homecoming parade to make its way down Elden Street for residents and visitors to enjoy.
This year's theme, "The Town of Herndon Celebrates..." was tied into this year's 125th, year-long birthday celebration for the town.
Each class of the high school competed against each other for first and second place, while other civic organizations and elementary and middle schools competed for other awards.
