The Long and Foster Old Town office has announced the top producers of the office for the month of October 2004. Overall top producers were Carol Manning Benitez and Katalin Melamed. Top lister was Jim Crowe and top selling agent was Daron Keller.

Michael Turk, branch manager of Weichert, Realtors' Alexandria/Old Town Office, announced that sales associate Barbara Rosen has completed the Weichert Rental Specialist program. The course offers Weichert agents special instruction on rental properties, including fair housing obligations, tenant application guidelines and procedures, landlord disclosure and advice requirements, as well as other relevant company and governmental policies. Rosen can now act as a rental specialist to clients and customers.

Joan Johns, branch manager of Weichert, Realtors' Alexandria/Mount Vernon office, announced several sales associates have been honored for their achievements in October. Joyce Clevenger, a member of the Chairman's Club, earned the honor of top producer. She led the office in dollar volume, revenue units and listings sold. Clevenger earned a National Sales Award in 2003 for being in the top five percent of sales associates nationwide and recently earned membership into the President's Gold Club, signifying a high level of sales financed through Weichert Financial. Executive's Club member Margot Schweppe led the office in listings, while Jose Flores was honored as the branch's top seller for the fifth month in a row. Flores has earned membership into the Chairman of the Board Elite Club this year.

Christine Garner led the office in sales and dollar volume, topping the latter for the second month in a row. Garner is a member of the Chairman of the Board Premiere Club at Weichert, the company's highest club level. Leading the way in revenue units, listings and listings sold was Eva Damelin, a member of the Chairman of the Board Elite. Both Damelin and Garner earned a National Sales Award in 2003 for being in the top 5 percent of sales associates nationwide.

Chuck Stone, branch manager of Weichert, Realtors' Alexandria/Belle View office, announced that Karen Leonard has been honored for her achievements in October. Leonard led the way in revenue units, listings and listings sold. She is a member of the Chairman of the Board Elite, and in 2003, was No. 3 in volume for first-year agents in the Capital Region.

Alexandria's Franklin Capital Group has announced the acquisition, start of rehabilitation and equity financing of Greentree North Apartments, a 96-unit garden apartment complex in North Charleston, S.C. The project is a joint venture with Charleston's Asset Management and Consulting Services. The capital group is also rehabilitating 112-unit townhouse-style complex Mosby Heights Apartments, Harrisonburg, Va.
