The Vienna Art Society conducted its 34th annual juried and judged art show from Nov. 19-21. Over 500 works were submitted for consideration, said Debi Elliott, a member of the society. Mary Del Popolo, a faculty member at the Corcoran College of Art and Design was the judge.
Of those 500, 175 works were chosen for inclusion in the show. Del Popolo was looking for pieces of art that had contrasts in colors which help draw one into the piece, Elliott explained. “A good work of art doesn’t let you leave,” Elliott said.
