Society Presents Paul McCray

The Herndon Historical Society presents "Labor Unrest on the Washington & Old Dominion Railroad" by Paul McCray on Nov. 17. One episode in the history of the W & OD Railroad was the period of labor unrest during 1916. As was happening at many other railroads during that time, the employees were seeking better working conditions through affiliation with a union, but on the W& OD the results were surprising and unexpected. McCray has been the manager of the W&OD Trail for 19 years and almost from the time he took it over, has studied the history of the railroad.
