Michael Turk, manager of the Weichert, Realtors office in Old Town Alexandria, was recently elected to the Northern Virginia Association of Realtors’s 2005 Board of Directors. He is a recipient of the Weichert Manager Award for Outstanding Leadership and has served on the NVAR Board of Directors for the past two years.
To better serve Spanish-speaking real estate buyers and sellers, Weichert, Realtors has translated its Web site. The site features a buyers' and sellers' guide, a real estate glossary and advice on how to prepare to buy or sell a home. Customers access the site by logging onto www.weichert.com and clicking on En Espanol on the left-center side of the screen. The opening page features several options in Spanish, including open houses. Each page offers Weichert's number for Spanish-speaking callers, 1-800-698-8211. Customers calling the 800 number reach Spanish-speaking representatives in the call center. Representatives collect information and then match callers with sales associates in the field who speak Spanish.
