Crime Report

ARMED ROBBERY

I-395 at exit 10. On Oct. 15, at 7:50 p.m., a 60-year-old male cab driver, was driving a subject from Washington, D.C., into Arlington when the subject produced a knife and demanded money. After the victim complied, the subject demanded to be driven back into Washington, D.C. The subject then requested to be let out at South Capital Street and K Street where the subject fled on foot. The subject was described as a white male, 6 feet, 175 pounds, wearing a dark-colored jacket and dark blue skull cap.

5500 block of Columbia Pike. On Oct. 18, at 10:50 p.m., a 21-year-old female, was waiting at a bus stop when two male subjects approached her. Subject No. 1 produced a knife and subject No. 2 grabbed the victim's handbag. Both subjects then fled the scene on foot. Both subjects were described as white Hispanic males.

1100 block of S. George Mason Drive. On Oct. 19, at 12:23 a.m., a 49-year-old female, was working as clerk in a convenience store when an unknown subject entered the store, implied he had a gun and demanded money. The victim complied and the subject fled the store. The subject was described as a black male, 5 feet 10 inches, 175 pounds, black hair, dark complexion wearing a gray T-shirt and khaki cargo pants.

1300 block of S. Rolfe Street. On Oct. 22, at 5:47 p.m., the victim, a 20-year-old male, was delivering pizza when an unknown subject approached him, brandished a handgun and demanded the victim's pizza. The victim complied and the subject fled on foot. The subject was described as a male, 20, 5 feet 9 inches, 140 pounds, wearing a green, hooded sweatshirt, a black bandanna and blue jeans.

2800 block of S. Wakefield Street. On Oct. 23, at 3:05 a.m., a 21-year-old male was working as a clerk at a convenience store when an unknown subject walked into the store, implied he had a weapon and demanded a pack of cigarettes and money. The victim complied and fled the scene on a bicycle. The subject was described as a black male, 6 feet, 180 pounds, wearing light-colored pants, a black, long-sleeved shirt, black shoes, black gloves and a black ski cap.

5000 block of Columbia Pike. On Oct. 23, at 9:40 p.m., a 28-year-old male was working as a clerk in a store when an unknown subject entered the store, brandished a handgun and demanded money. The victim complied and the subject fled the scene on foot. The subject was described as a black male, 25 years old, unshaven, wearing a black stocking cap, a dark knee-length jacket and white construction gloves with red dots on the palm.

900 block of S. George Mason Drive. On Oct. 25, at 10:50 a.m., a 34-year-old male was leaving a grocery store when an unknown subject approached him, displayed a handgun and demanded the victim's money. The subject then grabbed the victim's money and fled on foot. The subject was described as a black male, 30, 5 feet 7 inches, 150 pounds, brown eyes, brown hair, medium complexion, wearing a dark-green "pull over," a dark "Muslim skull cap" and dark jeans.

1600 block of S. Hayes Street. On Oct. 26, at 10:50 p.m., a 23-year-old male and a 31-year-old female, were sitting in a park when they were approached by three unknown subjects. Subject No. 1 initially engaged the victims in conversation and then produced a handgun and demanded money. The subjects took the victims' wallets and cell phones before fleeing the scene on foot.

ATTEMPTED ARMED ROBBERY

5200 block of S. 8th Road. On Oct. 20, at 8 p.m., a 32-year-old male, was walking to his apartment when several unknown subjects approached him. One of the subjects grabbed the victim while the others began to beat him. One of the subjects then demanded the victim's wallet. A passing car scared the subjects who fled on foot before getting the victim's wallet. The victim went home and later returned to the area with friends. He observed the subjects and contacted police. Responding officers located the subjects, and, after further investigation, three of the subjects, all juveniles, were arrested. Juvenile petitions charging the subjects with attempted armed robbery are pending.

ATTEMPTED COMMERCIAL BURGLARY

5200 block of Columbia Pike. Sometime around 11 p.m. on Oct. 24, an unknown subject attempted to force entry into a automobile service center by breaking out a pane of glass on a garage door.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY

300 block of N Glebe Road. Sometime between 9 p.m. on Oct. 15 and 7:15 a.m. on Oct. 16, unknown subject(s) forced entry through a Plexiglas window into an automobile repair shop and stole numerous tools.

3200 block of Wilson Boulevard. Sometime between 6:45 p.m. on Oct. 15 and 10 a.m. on Oct. 16, unknown subject(s) forced entry through a Plexiglas window into an auto repair shop and stole numerous tools.

600 block of N. Glebe Road. Sometime between 8 p.m. on Oct. 19 and 6:05 a.m. on Oct. 20, unknown subject(s) forced entry through a garage-door window into an automobile repair shop and stole numerous tires.

1800 N. Moore Street. Arlington and Fairfax officers apprehended Ricardo Anthony Jones, 39, of Washington, D.C., who was wanted on six Fairfax County warrants in connection with the series of larcenies of wallets occurring in Rosslyn and Fairfax County.

4900 block of S. Chesterfield Road. Sometime between 7 p.m. and 12:45 p.m. on Oct. 22, unknown subject(s) forced entry into 18 gym lockers at Wakefield High School and stole an undetermined amount of cash from numerous lockers.

5200 block of N. 28th Street. Sometime between 8:30 p.m. on Oct. 22 and 9:10 a.m. on Oct. 23, unknown subject(s) entered Yorktown Middle School and spread paint on the floor and walls and spray-painted several clocks and lockers. There were no signs of forced entry.

4000 block of Lee Highway. Sometime between 5 p.m. on Oct. 23 and 7:30 a.m. on Oct. 25, unknown subject(s) forced entry through a garage-door window into an auto dealership service center and stole numerous Michelin and Dunlop tires.

INDECENT EXPOSURE

4900 block of Columbia Pike. On Oct. 19, at 7:10 a.m., a 6-year-old boy was waiting for a school bus in the lobby of his apartment when an unknown male subject exposed his genitalia to the victim. The subject was described as a white Hispanic male, 30s, 5 feet 6 inches, 155 pounds, brown eyes, black hair, light complexion, wearing a white tank top, blue jeans and a studded belt.

200 block of N. Piedmont Street. On Oct. 21, at 2:18 a.m., a 28-year-old female, was in her bedroom when she heard a knock on the window. The victim opened the blinds, at which point, a subject outside lowered his pants and exposed his genitalia. The victim immediately called police and the subject fled on foot. The subject was described as a black male, 30, 5 feet 9 inches, 210 pounds, black hair, dark complexion and a tan jacket.

MALICIOUS WOUNDING

3200 block of Wilson Boulevard. On Oct. 24, at 2:01 a.m., officers responded for a report of a fight. Upon arrival, officers located two victims, a 22-year-old male and a 26-year-old male. The victims were uncooperative, but stated that several unknown subjects attacked them for no apparent reason as they walked down the street.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY

900 block of S. Orme Street. Sometime between 1:30 a.m. and 6:30 a.m. on Oct. 15, an unknown subject forced entry into a residence through a window and stole an undisclosed amount of money from a purse.

1600 block of N. Adams Street. Sometime between 6 p.m. on Oct. 11 and 1 p.m. on Oct. 16, unknown subject(s) entered a garage and stole a bicycle and various tools. There were no signs of forced entry.

3000 block of N. 4th Street. Between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Oct. 19, unknown subject(s) entered a residence and stole an undisclosed amount of cash. There were no signs of forced entry.

4600 block of N. 20th Road. Sometime between 3 p.m. on Oct. 14 and 11 a.m. on Oct. 21, unknown subject(s) entered an apartment and spray painted a closet door.

2800 block of Key Boulevard. Sometime between 4 p.m. on Oct. 23 and :30 p.m. on Oct. 24, unknown subject(s) entered a residence and stole numerous pieces of silver flatware and silver serving items. There were no signs of forced entry.

ROBBERY

200 block of N. Glebe Road. On Oct. 15, at 1:20 p.m., an 80-year-old male, was getting into his vehicle when an unknown subject who was standing nearby engaged the victim in conversation. The subject then approached the victim and pinned him against the driver's seat. The subject reached into the vehicle and stole the victim's wallet. The subject fled the scene on foot. The subject was described as a black male, 25-30, 5 feet 10 inches, 135 pounds, dark complexion, wearing a dark baseball cap, dark coat and dark pants.

1100 S. Hayes Street. On Oct. 15, at 7:50 p.m., the victim, a 22-year-old female, was working as a clerk in a store when an unknown subject entered the store. The subject, pretending to be a computer repairman, requested that the victim pay an outstanding bill. The victim pulled money out of the register and the subject grabbed it and ran from the store. The subject was described as a black male, 6 feet, 230 pounds, brown eyes, black hair, dark complexion wearing a light green shirt and tan pants.

UNLAWFUL ENTRY

2800 block of N. Franklin Road. On Oct. 19, at 12:40 p.m., officers responded for a report of a suspicious subject seen entering a backyard of a residence. Upon arriving, officers located a subject with a bicycle in the driveway. After further investigation, officers determined that a bicycle, several tools and a set of speakers were stolen from a shed in the backyard. Michael William Ford, 42, of Arlington, was arrested and charged with unlawful entry and grand larceny.
