The Access Services branch of the Fairfax County Public Library sponsors a Sight and Sound Technology Fair for people with disabilities on Friday, May 14, from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event takes place in the Fairfax County Government Center, Suite 123, 12000 Government Center Parkway. Activities include hands-on demonstrations of equipment that helps people with vision or hearing disabilities perform everyday tasks; a discussion of the digital Talking Books program administered by the Library of Congress; demonstrations of electronic books; branch tours; and the latest assistive technology offered by vendors.
