The Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce will hold its monthly networking Business Showcase Breakfast on Thursday, July 8, 7:30-9 a.m., at the Belmont Country Club, Ashburn. The event brings businesses together to meet, exchange cards and develop new prospects. Following the breakfast is a member orientation to acquaint new members with the benefits and programs the chamber has to offer. Cost is $15 for prepaid members, $18 for members at the door, $20 for nonmembers with pre registration required. The Loudoun County Small Business Development Center has scheduled two free seminars in the upcoming weeks. The programs are:

* "Start Your Business," delivered by small business specialist Caroline Mansi and Terry Corle. Monday, July 12, 6-8:30 p.m., at the Rust Library, 380 Old Waterford Road NW, Leesburg.

* "Introduction to Federal Contracting: A Government Market Overview," delivered by Larry Allen. Allen is the executive vice president of a nonprofit representing companies working with the federal government. Tuesday, July 13, 6-8:30 p.m., at the Eastern Loudoun Regional Library.

The historic Oatlands plantation has appointed its first woman chair, Anita Graf White. White was elected Master of Foxhounds of the Loudoun Hunt in 1970 and continues to hold this position. She served as the chairman of the Loudoun Hunt Point-to-Point Steeplechase Races for many years. For the past two years, Oatlands began a master planning process, which determined the best and most efficient way to use the property. White hopes to implement the plan under her chairmanship, reaching Oatlands' full potential through restoration and adaptive reuse of existing buildings.

Sterling-based Dulles Staffing has added two new employees. Robert E. Wright Jr. has been named to the newly-created position of vice president, while Rose Castellano has been hired as a senior staffing coordinator. Wright joins Dulles with more than 20 years of experience in both sales and operations, and is a 10-year resident of Loudoun County. Castellano comes to Dulles Staffing after five years as corporate recruiter for Professional Computer Placement in Chantilly.
