The following incidents were reported by the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.
LARCENY
25900 block of Lily Pad Lane, South Riding. Between 5 p.m. June 1 and 9 a.m. June 2, unknown subject(s) removed an air conditioning unit from a home under construction. Value was $1,850.
27100 block of Paddock Trail Ct., Chantilly. On June 6 between 5 p.m. and 7 a.m., unknown subject(s) removed eleven boxes of house siding from a house under construction. Value was $2,000.
25800 block of Turlough Tr., South Riding. Between 5 p.m. June 7 and 8 a.m. June 8, unknown subject(s) removed building materials from a home under construction. Value was $640
THEFT FROM A BUILDING:
26100 block of Lands End Dr., South Riding. On June 5 and 6, several items including a firearm, a VCR, jewelry and a radio were removed from a home during a juvenile party. Value was $12,550.
BURGLARY/LARCENY:
10 block of E. Washington St. , Middleburg. On June 7 at 11:27 a.m., unknown subject(s) damaged the front windows of the Mont'e Jewelry store and removed several pieces of jewelry, worth $3,090. The Criminal Investigations Division is investigating the case.
EXPOSURE:
46400 block of Algonkian Parkway, Sterling. On June 7 at 7:25 p.m., two juvenile females were walking home from school when an unknown white male exposed himself to them. The suspect is described as being possibly in his mid-20's, and approximately 5'7" to 5'9" tall with a medium build. He may have brown hair. The Criminal Investigations Division is investigating the case.
DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY:
420 block of E. Dartmouth, Sterling. Between 10 p.m. June 7 and 8 a.m. June 8, unknown subject(s) damaged the front and passenger side of a vehicle. Value was $700.
20900 block of Nerine Ct., Potomac Falls. Between midnight June 6 and 11:05 a.m. June 8, unknown subject(s) threw eggs on a wooden deck, causing damage valued at $200.
21600 block of Ashburn Rd., Ashburn. On June 8 between 9:30 a.m. and 3:40 p.m., unknown subject(s) damaged a window by scratching the paint with a key or other object. Value was $900.
BURGLARY/BREAKING & ENTERING/MOTOR VEHICLE THEFT:
44120 block of Harry Byrd Hwy., Ashburn. Between noon June 4 and 10:30 a.m. June 7, unknown subject(s) entered a garage and removed two go-carts, valued at $1,300.
THEFT FROM A MOTOR VEHICLE:
Between 1 p.m. June 4 and 5:30 p.m. June 8, unknown subject(s) entered a vehicle and removed a CD player and various CD's. Value was $650.
ATTEMPTED ROBBERY:
46900 block of Cedar Lake Plaza, Sterling. A 19-year-old Sterling man told authorities he was using the pay phone outside the Food Lion grocery store on June 9 at 1:07 a.m. when an unknown subject came up behind him. The suspect allegedly put a sharp object to the victim's back and asked him to give him all of his money. Discovering the victim was not carrying cash, the suspect fled the area on foot. The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 5'10" tall, weighing 180 lbs. He has shoulder length black hair and is approximately 26 to 30-years-old. He was last seen wearing a white tee shirt and blue shorts. The Criminal Investigations Division is handling the case.
