Advanced Relaxation and Imagery Techniques. On My Own. This eight-week group of discussion and activity for children ages 5-12 who have a family member with cancer. Participants learn about cancer and find ways to manage the feelings and changes that come when someone in the family has cancer. Leukemia Group. Co-sponsored with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Pharmacist Robert Bretzel of Fairfax-Northern Virginia Hematology-Oncology, PC answers questions regarding medications for leukemia treatment on Thursday, June 10, at 7 p.m., at the Life with Cancer Family Center, room 1E. The Life with Cancer Family Center hosts a Young Adult Group, in which participants can meet others ages 18 to 30-something to discuss issues such as sexuality, dating, body image, work and health insurance problems, treatment side effects, fears of recurrence and sustaining a normal lifestyle.
