One of the best ways for residents to have an impact in the county is to become an active participant in their local homeowners association. Montgomery County is honeycombed with such organizations, and virtually every residential unit in the county falls under the umbrella of one of these organizations.
To find out which particular organization an individual house falls under, contact the Park and Planning Office of Community Relations 301-495-4600.
Community Relations maintains a list of the president of each organization. However, it only updates that list when it is notified by the organization of a change in the leadership, so the information is not always current. If the information it provides is out of date, the best option is to contact others in the neighborhood.
