<lst>The following incidents were reported to the Franconia District Station of the Fairfax County Police Department.

<cal1>Domestic Dispute

<cal2>10000 block Richmond Highway. On June 25 at 6:46 a.m. police responded to a report of a shot person at the 10000 block of Richmond Highway in the Lorton area. A 27-year-old Lorton area woman was transported to Potomac Hospital, where she was treated for a non-life threatening gun shot wound and released. The injury appeared to be the result of a domestic dispute, but both victim and suspect were uncooperative.

<cal1>Carjacking

<cal2>4400 block University Drive. Fairfax County Police are investigating a carjacking that occurred around 4:30 p.m. on June 24, in the parking lot of the George Mason Library in the Annandale area. A 79-year-old woman from the Centreville area was sitting on the passenger side of a 2003, silver colored Honda Accord waiting for her husband to return from the library. The man entered the car from the driver's side and shoved the woman out of the car with his foot. The man displayed a knife during the incident. The victim was transported to Inova Fairfax Hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries. The man's description is a possible Hispanic or Middle Eastern man in his early twenties. He drove away in the 2003 silver colored Honda Accord, displaying Virginia license plates JGJ-6208.

<cal1>Warrant Service

<cal2>6300 block Commerce St. On June 24 at 11:30 a.m., the Virginia Attorney General's Office, Immigration Customs Enforcement, and the Fairfax City Police department assisted in the operation that was in conjunction with the Recording Industry Association of America. Five search warrants were executed on local addresses resulting in the confiscation of pirated digital video discs (DVDs) and compact disc (CDs). As a result, thousands of pirated DVDs and CDs, along with hundreds of recording devices, were confiscated as evidence. Since May 2003, police and other agencies have been investigating locations in the area thought to be selling counterfeit DVDs and CDs. At this time no arrests have been made, however the investigation is ongoing.
