<cal1>VEHICLE THEFT

<cal2>5900 block of Founders Hill Drive. 1994 Toyota Tercel reported stolen.

<cal1>ROBBERY

<cal2>Burke Road/Ridge Ford Drive. On Jan. 12 just before 1 a.m., a Burke area man, 58, parked his car and was walking when a black Honda Civic two-door traveling north on Burke Road pulled up beside him. Two men jumped out of the car and one brandished a handgun at him. The pair demanded money and the victim relinquished cash from his pocket. One suspect grabbed the money and the victim's set of keys and they ran back to the waiting car, jumped into the back seat and the driver sped off. The suspects were described as black and in their 20s. One suspect was further described as five feet ten inches tall and weighing 200 pounds. He was wearing dark clothing and had a ski mask covering his face. The second suspect was further described as 5 feet, 8 inches tall and weighing 150 pounds. He was wearing dark-colored clothing as well.

4300 block of Wedgewood Drive. On Jan. 9, around 8:50 p.m., an Annandale area man, 26, was walking when a grey pickup truck with a grey camper shell pulled up beside him. Two men got out of the vehicle and asked him for money. The victim replied he had none, and one man threatened him with a knife and demanded money. The victim relinquished his cash and the suspects got back into the truck and drove away. They were last seen eastbound on the Little River Turnpike service road. The suspects were described as Hispanic, in their late 20s and 5 feet, 10 inches tall. The suspect armed with a knife had a thin build and was wearing a striped shirt. The other suspect had a medium build and a mustache. He was wearing a button-down shirt and jeans.

<cal1>Animal Control

<cal2>7400 block of McWhorter Place. A dead raccoon that was found in the 7400 block of McWhorter Place in the Annandale area tested positive for rabies. On Jan. 6 at 12:30 p.m., a citizen reported seeing her dog standing over the animal carcass. An Animal Control officer collected the carcass, and sent it to the Fairfax County Health Department. The dog involved was not injured and has a current rabies vaccination.
