BRANDISHING A FIREARM
<lst>11951 Freedom Drive. An off-duty Fairfax County Police detective arrested a 15-year-old boy on Saturday after he brandished a gun at a Reston area Starbucks. Around 7 p.m., the suspect walked into the Starbucks and pulled a gun from his waistband. The detective, who was a customer at the time, pulled his weapon, identified himself as a police officer, and ordered the suspect not to move. The suspect dropped his gun and was arrested by the detective. The nickel-plated handgun turned out to be a toy. It is not known what the suspect's intentions were. The suspect was then taken to the Juvenile Detention Center, where he was charged with brandishing a firearm.
