The following incidents were reported to the Franconia district station of the Fairfax County Police Department.
<cal1>BANK ROBBERY
<cal2>7700 block of Telegraph Road. A teller at the BB&T Bank was robbed at gunpoint. On Tuesday, Feb. 3, at 2 p.m., a man entered the bank located at 7716 Telegraph Road in the Alexandria area and walked up to a teller. He announced the robbery and the fact that he had a gun. The victim complied with the request for cash and the suspect fled the area without injuring anyone. He is described as being white, in his mid-20s and 6 feet tall with a thin build. He was wearing a blue-colored puffy ski-type jacket, blue dress slacks and a cream-colored hat. <cal1>ANIMAL CONTROL
<cal2>8900 block of Sylvania St. On Jan. 30, at 4:45 p.m., a Lorton area boy, 12, and two of his friends were walking by a residence when two dogs attacked him. The victim's friends ran for help and other people who were nearby helped pull the dogs off of the boy. The victim was taken to Inova Healthplex and treated for multiple lacerations and bite wounds to his body. Robert W. Coble IV, 37, of the 8900 block of Sylvania St., was charged with two counts of owning a dangerous dog. The dogs did not have rabies shots and were quarantined at the Animal Shelter.
