Two Park View High School graduates were each presented with a $900 check as part of the Virginia Sheriffs' Institute (VSI) scholarship program. The scholarship program, established by the VSI's Board of Directors, assists students in their educational endeavors in law enforcement or criminal justice. The two graduates presented with the scholarship checks were Sterling residents Christopher Gray and Stuart Morris. Gray will be attending George Mason University in the fall with Morris heading to Christopher Newport University in Newport News.

Leesburg Christian School, a ministry of Believer's Baptist Church, announces that Keith M. Williams has accepted the position of school administrator. Williams administrated the Westover Christian School in Danville, Va., helping it to grow from 160 students to more than 700 in 11 years. After Danville, he and his family spent time in Guam as missionaries, and more recently he has worked as head resident of International Boarding Students and ESL teacher at Houghton Academy in New York. Williams' wife Kathleen Williams will also be joining the school's faculty. Leesburg Christian School is located just south of Leesburg at 21336 Evergreen Mills Road.
