The following incidents were reported by the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT

July 5, 5:07 a.m., a 16-year-old from Potomac Falls was dropped off at the Lansdowne Campus of Loudoun Hospital by two friends, both of whom left after taking him into the emergency room. The victim stated he was at the C3 Club in Sterling when he was assaulted. The incident is under investigation by the Criminal Investigations Division.

LARCENY

700 block S. Sterling Blvd., Sterling. July 5, 6 a.m.-2 p.m., unknown subject(s) removed two bicycles that were removed from the front yard of a residence. Value: $200.

44400 block Whitford Square, Ashburn. July 5, 8:50 p.m., unknown subject(s) removed a moped that was

parked behind the listed location. Value: $650.

MISSING PERSONS

34800 block Appalachian Trail, Round Hill. July 5,

8:45 p.m.-4 a.m., two hikers, a 57-year-old male and a

23-year-old female, got separated from a group of 20 hikers along the Appalachian Trail. The hikers began their trek around 7:50 p.m. and took a short hike. The two hikers were reported missing shortly before 12:30 a.m. to the Sheriff's Office. As members of the Sheriff's Office began to organize a search party in the area flashlights were seen along

the ridge of the mountain. The flashlights belonged to the two missing hikers who were escorted down the mountain by deputies around 1:45 a.m. Friday. The hikers said they had taken a wrong turn and did not need medical treatment.

SUSPICIOUS EVENT

200 block W. Balsam Road, Sterling. Aug. 1-2, 3 p.m.-11:30 a.m., an unknown white male is said to have approached two sisters on two separate occasions. The man was said to be driving a silver passenger car and is described as being middle-aged with dark hair.

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY

20810 block Wallingford Square, Potomac Falls. Aug. 2-3, 4 p.m.-11 a.m., unknown subject(s) scratched the paint of a vehicle causing damage. Value: $1,000.

400 block East Laurel Avenue, Sterling. Aug. 1, 12:01-8:30 a.m., unknown subject(s) spray painted vulgar and racial slurs on a vehicle, a mailbox and a driveway. Value: $1,150.

300 block South Sterling Boulavard, Sterling. July 28-29, 6 p.m.-5:30 a.m., unknown subject(s) damaged two

greens at the Sterling Park Golf course. Value: $500.

SHOPLIFTING

46300 block Potomac Run Plaza, Sterling. Aug. 4, 7:05 p.m., an unknown subject left the Circuit City without paying for a laptop computer in his possession. The suspect is described as a black male, 6-feet-1-inch to 6-feet-3-inches, with a thin build. He was wearing a pink T-shirt, baggy shorts, and flip-flops and was talking on a blue cell phone at the time of the incident. Value: $1,000.

WEAPONS LAW/LIQUOR VIOLATIONS

90 block Sugarland Run Drive, Sterling. July 30, 10:30 p.m., a Community Policing Deputy observed a subject drinking from a large bottle in the area of the Sugarland Square Shopping Center. It was determined the subject, Durrel Toppin, 18, of Sterling, was drinking alcohol. During a search of Toppin a firearm was discovered. He was charged with possession of a concealed weapon and underage possession of alcohol. He was being held on a $2,500 bond.

BURGLARY/DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY

400 block W. Colonial Highway, Hamilton. July 31-Aug. 2, 10 p.m.-8:50 a.m., unknown subject(s) entered the Planet Wayside Restaurant and removed several cases of beer.

A window pane was damaged in the incident to gain entry.

BURGLARY/BREAKING & ENTERING

45500 block Dulles Eastern Plaza, Sterling. Aug. 1-2, 7:30 p.m.-10 a.m., unknown subject(s) appeared to have attempted to pry open a rear door of a store. Minor damage occurred and no entry was gained. Value: $25.

21100 block Huntington Square, Sterling. July 29, 6:50 a.m.- 6 p.m., unknown subject(s) entered a residence through an unsecured sliding door and rummaged through the apartment. No items appeared to have been removed.

150 block Seneca Ridge Drive, Sterling. July 19-Aug. 1, 12 p.m.-10:45 a.m., unknown subject(s) entered a residence by damaging a basement window and removed a small amount of cash.

39000 block Paynes Lane, Hamilton. July 1-Aug. 1, unknown subject(s) entered a residence and removed two firearms. Value: $300.

Coltsfoot Terrace, Ashburn. Aug. 1, 8-9:30 p.m., unknown subject(s) attempted to enter the gym of an apartment complex. Value: $350.

ROBBERY

100 block W. Maple Avenue, Sterling. July 30, 2:20 p.m., a 14-year-old Sterling juvenile assaulted another 14-year-old and took his bicycle. The Sterling youth was charged with robbery and assault and was taken to the Juvenile Detention Center.

THEFT FROM A MOTOR VEHICLE

43600 block Greenway Corporate Drive, Ashburn. July 29-30, 9:30 p.m.-7 a.m., unknown subject(s) entered a vehicle and removed a laptop. Value: $500.

20900 block Strawrick Terrace, Ashburn. July 31-Aug. 1, 11:30 p.m.-8 a.m., unknown subject(s) entered a vehicle by damaging a window and removed a cell phone, U.S. currency and a wallet and its contents. Value: $754.

43500 block Hyland Hills Street, South Riding. July 28-29, 8:30 p.m.-8:10 a.m., unknown subject(s) entered a vehicle and removed a cell phone, a computer bag and some U.S. currency. Value: $322.

HIT & RUN/FALSE POLICE REPORT

N. Fillmore/N. Lincoln, Sterling. July 30, 7:50 p.m., deputies responded to the scene for a report of a van striking a car and leaving the scene. While canvassing the area a deputy was approached by Antonio Davall, 32, of Sterling. Davall told authorities he was robbed at gun point and an unknown suspect had taken his van. It was later determined that Davall had made false statements and was driving the van at the time of the incident. He was charged with hit and run, and giving a false police report. He was being held at the Loudoun Adult Detention Center.

BURGLARY/BREAKING & ENTERING/DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY

100 block N. Aspen Avenue, Sterling. July 24-30, 5 a.m.-2 p.m., unknown subject(s) attempted to enter a residence through a window causing a small amount of damage to the frame. No entry was gained.

PROWLER

21000 block Timber Ridge Terrace, Ashburn. Aug. 2, 2:12 a.m., an Ashburn woman reported that an unknown black

male tapped on her window. He is described as being a light skinned, black male and is approximately 6 feet tall. He was said to be wearing a light, plaid dress shirt and dark jeans at the time of the incident.

BURGLARY/PEEPING TOM

46900 block Courtyard Square, Sterling. July 29, 10:08-

10:18 p.m., Dartanion Pleasure, 24, of Sterling was seen by a 39-year-old female looking through the sliding glass door of her home. Pleasure was apprehended at the scene and

charged with breaking and entering with intent to commit a misdemeanor and peeping into an occupied dwelling. He was being held on a $10,000 secured bond.
