The rain held off just long enough for Titan Expo to be held outside.
Approximately a thousand people enjoyed the day throwing baseballs, participating in bouncy boxing, bought or sold items at the flea market or listened to music by local bands at last Sunday's fun family event.
The purpose, in addition to have fun, was to raise money for two career and technical education scholarships.
Larry Trice, a teacher at T. C. Williams High School, Allian Pratt and Lauren Leggett, parents of students at T.C., co-chaired this year's Expo.
"We wanted to raise about $20,000 to fund 10 scholarships at $1,000 per year for two years and I think we are very close to that goal," Trice said. "We got a lot of support from parents and from the community as a whole. I think that everyone had a lot of fun."
