<sh>Planning Commission Gives OK

<bt>The Fairfax County Planning Commission last week approved of Continental-Packaging Associates' rezoning proposal. The business is on Pleasant Valley Road, about half a mile from Route 50, in the Lafayette Business Park in Chantilly. It wants to expand into a second building there, but needs that building rezoned.

Its current I-3 industrial zoning limits the amount of warehousing at that site, but the proposed I-4 industrial zoning would yield more flexibility in warehouse usage. The new building would be used for storage, but that's not allowed in an I-3 area. Last Wednesday, April 7, the Planning Commission voted unanimously in favor of the project. Next step is the Board of Supervisors on May 10.
