Robinson Secondary School's spring show is "Gold in the Hills or The Dead Sister’s Secret," an old-fashioned melodrama with music.
A virtuous hero, in this J. Frank Davis melodrama, a loathsome villain, Richard Murgatroyd and a sweet farm girl, named Nellie, get tangled in a murder by moonlight, and the wilder side of city life in the infamous New York Bowery.
Russell Theatre will be transformed into a 1890's Dance Hall where
old-time melodies will be played on a piano. Eventually, the "dead
sister's secret" will be revealed.
Performances will be Thursday, April 29. Friday, April 30, and Saturday May 1 at 7:30 p.m.
Admission is $10 online or at the door; $8 by mail.
