New Neighbors League Club will host its Sept. 24 meeting at P.J. Skidoo's, 9908 Lee Highway, Fairfax. Cost for the luncheon is $21, inclusive. The Celebration Singers, an all-volunteer, 40-voice, three-part harmony choreographed and costumed women's show chorus, invites women interested in singing to join them. Springfield Music Club is a local organization that meets September through May on the second Tuesday of the month. Meetings and programs usually take place at Jordan Kitt's Showroom on Gallows Road in Vienna at 10 a.m. The 30 minute business meeting is open to members and programs which follow the meetings are open to all interested. Programs range from opera to baroque trios to member recitals. The club also offers workshops for music teachers. The club is made up of over 150 members who are professional music teachers, performers and music lovers. Burke Rotary Club has existed since June 1984, and meets each Tuesday, at 7:30 a.m., for breakfast. For most of its existence it met at Hopsfrog Restaurant (formerly Fritters), but for the past two years it has found its home at Brion’s Grille across from George Mason University in the University Mall.
