Based on the Herndon Town Council's work session Sept. 2, the following items are on tap for the regular meeting Sept. 9, beginning at 7:30, at 765 Lynn St.
* Two presentations: Responsible Citizen Award to Christiane Garr and Amanda Spratley; and a resolution for Crime Prevention Month in October.
* Public hearings on the following: four appeals of the special handling fee for improperly contained solid waste; the conditional-use permit application for the Burger King drive-through lane; a conditional-use permit application for an accessory dwelling unit at 1201 Mosby Court; conditional-use permit application for the Community Montessori School, which the applicant has requested be withdrawal; the zoning ordinance text amendment to permit by conditional-use permit temporary assembly sites and related services for day workers in selected zones, which staff is recommended be deferred; and an ordinance suspending until Nov. 1, 2004, the town's consumer utility tax on local mobile telecommunications.
* A resolution authorizing the filings and prosecution of a suit for injunction against Eliseo Reyes and Jose Alvarez for an alleged overcrowded single-family dwelling on Archer Street.
* A suggested resolution for consideration of request to release a surety bond for the President's Court subdivision
