The Friends of the Vale Schoolhouse sponsored the 32nd annual Country Fair last Saturday, Oct. 18. While fairgoers snacked on barbecue or cotton candy, watched entertainment by several old-time musicians and shopped for crafts and used toys and books, their children played on the moonbounce, rode on ponies or got their faces painted.
The Vale Schoolhouse, at the corner of Fox Mill and Vale Roads in Oakton, dates from 1888.
