Potomac Day is set for Oct. 25, rain or shine.
Oct. 17-31 Art Show
The show features local artists. Art will be displayed at the banks in the Potomac Village Shopping Center and at the office of the W.C. & A.N. Miller Realtors office.
9 a.m., 5k Fun Run
The run will benefit the Potomac Theatre Company and the Montgomery County Police. Registration and start are at the bank parking lot in the northwest corner of River and Falls roads. Go to www.potomacchamber.org for sign-up forms.
10 a.m.-3 p.m., Craft and Antique Fair
Potomac Promenade shopping center near Sandy Springs bank.
10:30 a.m.-2 p.m. SPCA Dog Walk and Pet Fair
A 1.5-mile walk through Potomac, followed by a lunch and a pet fair. Treats will be distributed for dogs and their owners. Located at Potomac Elementary School.
10:30 a.m. Parade
The parade features Cabin John Park Volunteer Fire Company, floats, antique cars, horses, community organizations and government officials. This year’s grand marshal will be Harry Semmes. T-shirts will be distributed to a few onlookers.
11 a.m.-2 p.m. Children’s Festival
Featuring pony rides, a moon bounce, ball crawl, super slides, balloons, scarecrow making, pumpkin decorating, face painting, Pokemon card trading, police vehicles and fire trucks. All free.
Taste of Potomac
Food from various Potomac restaurants will be available in front of their restaurants.
Child Safety Program
Fingerprinting and photo identification will be available. McGruff the Crime Dog will greet children, along with Montgomery County Police teaching safety tips for Halloween. A fire truck display will explore fire safety rules.
Business Fair
Featuring local merchants and community organizations.
Open House
Will be held at the Potomac Community Library.
