The most challenging event MVHS Theatre faces is the spring musical, "Peter Pan."
Director Caren Hearne and students agreed to perform the classic show in the traditional version — which requires that Peter and the children fly. Flying requires special stage equipment and training, at significant cost. Therefore, the Thespian Society and the Theatre Honor Society have worked together to create the "Make Us Fly!" campaign — a plan developed to obtain financial support to cover the extra costs for flying. During the summer holiday, the Thespians solicited funds from local businesses, who continue to respond favorably. These sponsors will be listed in the theatre lobby and on the MVHS theatre web site. To date, the following businesses have sponsored the Make Us Fly! campaign: Rorer's Produce, Elsie's Magic Skillet, Hughes Orthodontist, Art and Framing by Valentino, Hollin Hall Shell and Genuario Construction.
