Gang Stabbing Suspects Sought

Alexandria police are on the lookout for a group of Hispanic males involved in a stabbing incident Nov. 1, at around 9:15 p.m. in the 400 block of North Armistead Street.

Police said a 17-year-old male city resident was attacked and stabbed several times. The victim was flown to Inova Fairfax Hospital where he underwent surgery for his non-life threatening injuries.

He remains in stable condition.

Detectives responding to the scene of the stabbing verified that the attack was gang-related and at least one of the suspects was identified.

BOY ROBBED OF CANDY

An 11-year-old city boy was robbed of his Halloween candy in the 300 block of South Fairfax Street, Oct. 31, at around 10:30 p.m., according to police.

The victim was approached by two teenage males. One of the suspects pushed the victim to the ground and grabbed the bag of candy and a pair of costume sunglasses. Both suspects fled on foot.

One suspect was described as black, between 5-feet and 5-feet-10 inches tall and was wearing a yellow and red basketball uniform. The other suspect was described as being of the same height.

MEANWHILE, A CLERK working in a business at 3610 King Street was robbed Nov. 2, at around 7:44 p.m. Police said the victim, a 24-year-old city residents was approached by the suspect who had asked for change. When the victim opened the cash register, the suspect reached inside and stole money. The victim grabbed the suspect and a brief struggle ensued.

The suspect managed to escape and fled from the store. Other employees gave chase and caught the suspect a short distance away.

Police were called and arrested Stephen James Donovan, a 43-year-old male and resident of 117 Cloverdale Court in Mount Airy, Md., with robbery.
