The Virginia SOL Tests were given May 19-23. Students hoped to pass these tests in order to receive a verified credit.
Prom tickets went on sale for $30 from May 12-16. Following this week, prices will be raised to $40. In preparation for the upcoming prom, the Junior Class held a Glamour Party on May 15 and 16 immediately after school. Girls experimented with different techniques from Mary Kay Makeup, to give them ideas of what to do on the evening of prom.
Two complimentary prom tickets were given away on May 16 to a senior who had registered for the All Night Graduation Party to be held on June 16. The cost to attend the Graduation Party is $45.
The Varsity Softball Team defeated Stone Bridge on May 12 with a final score of 13-0. Kristen Miller had three hits, and Sheryl Wilson, Julia Dominguez, and Randi Dean each had two. Pitcher Karie Morrison struck out a total of 11 batters, giving up only three hits.
The JV Softball Team was losing to Loudoun Valley on May 13 0-6, when they came back and tied 6-6 in one inning. Molly Walter had one hit and one RBI.
The Girls' Lacrosse Team defeated Loudoun Valley 12-4 on May 13. Goals were scored by Alyssa Yassine who had four, Renee Mehrzad and Jessica Koss who each had three, and Jennifer Liebsch who scored two.
