Police Seek Suspect in Shooting

The Herndon Police are investigating a shooting that occurred in the 600 block of Dulles Park Court. According to police, a 38-year-old male was in an apartment when police said he heard two subjects at the door. When the victim exited the apartment, one of the subjects produced a pistol and fired one round, striking the victim. The victim received a small grazing wound, but was able to re-enter the apartment for safety. The subject then fired a second round, which struck the door; both subjects then fled the scene. The Herndon Police are looking for one of the subjects, identified as Thomas Walker Singleton Jr. There are three felony warrants on file for Singleton, according to police, for attempted murder, use of a firearm in the dwelling and discharge of a firearm at an occupied dwelling. Police describe Singleton as a black male, 21 years old, 5 foot 10 inches tall, and weighing 160 to 175 pounds.
