<cal2>Fairfax Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) is collecting donated items in good condition for the Elks Lodge/ Merrifield Lions flea market on June 22, 9 a.m.-3 p.m., at the Elks Lodge, 8421 Arlington Blvd., Fairfax. Items such as small electronic devices, jewelry, rugs, baskets, pottery, wines, silver, crystal, antiques, gowns, furs, toys, artwork and other household furnishings will be sold to benefit Fairfax CASA, a non-profit organization that recruits and trains volunteers to advocate for the best interests of neglected and abused children in the Fairfax County court system. "Visual Poetry," the work of 14 northern Virginia artists, runs trough July 7 at The Artists' Undertaking Gallery, 309 Mill St., Historic Occoquan. The show will include watercolor paintings, etchings, drawings in pastels, non-traditional photography, black-and-white drawings, art quilts, fused glass, stoneware, stained glass, porcelain, turned wood and silver jewelry.
