The much-anticipated Bob Updegrove Slideshow was presented to all of Park View on the morning of June 3. The show featured spring sports, the Powderpuff football game, pep rallies, drama productions, the DECA fashion show and many past and present photos of graduating seniors. Students bought videos and pictures from the show throughout the week.
Yearbooks were distributed on June 5. The distribution in homeroom was followed by a school-wide locker clean out.
A Senior Awards Assembly was held in the Park View Gym during the morning of June 6. Various academic departments presented students with scholarships and certificates of achievement. Following the Assembly, the class of 2003 headed off to the Sterling pool for the annual picnic.
Exams began on June 10 and will be completed on the last day of school, June 13.
The senior class will hold their graduation at the Patriot Center on June 16 at 7:30 p.m. Following the ceremony, graduates will head off to the 2003 All Night Graduation Celebration, beginning at 11 p.m. and going through the early morning.
The Varsity Softball Team became the Region II Champions following wins over Turner Ashby, 6-0, and Loudoun Valley, 9-1. On June 5, the Patriots went on to defeat Powhatan High School, 3-0, at home, in the first round of the State AA Tournament.
