<cal1>SEXUAL ASSAULT
<cal2>Loisdale Road 8100 block - An Annandale-area woman, 50, was on a date with a man she met through a newspaper dating ad. The man complained he was not feeling well and rented a room at the Hunter Motel. The woman went into the room with the man and was sexually assaulted. A warrant charging rape was outstanding for Duc Thanh Vo, 39, of Quebec Terrace in Silver Spring, Md.
<cal1>MALICIOUS WOUNDING
<cal2>Commerce Street 7200 block - On July 20, at 6:45 p.m., two Springfield area men were walking when a green Honda Civic pulled up next to them. Two men, one armed with a handgun and the other a knife, got out of the car and began struggling with one man. During the struggle, the man, 24, was stabbed in the cheek. The suspects then got back into the car and drove away. The investigation was continuing into the circumstances surrounding the stabbing.
<cal1>ROBBERY
<cal2>Kingstowne Boulevard 5800 block - A woman, 78, was getting into her car after shopping at Wal Mart when two teenagers approached her. One grabbed her purse from her shoulder and the two fled. Investigation led to robbery charges being placed against a 16-year-old boy and Jerrell Williams, 19, of West Braddock Road in the Alexandria area.
<cal1>INDECENT EXPOSURE
<cal2>Sheffield Green Way/Sheffield Village Lane - A woman, 42, was walking her dog when a man grabbed her groin and her buttocks. The man then exposed himself to her and began fondling himself. The victim picked up a stick to defend herself and fled.
<cal1>BURGLARY
<cal2>Heming Court 7600 block - On July 22, at about 7:10 p.m., three boys were arrested after investigation revealed they entered a trailer classroom at North Springfield Elementary School. The boys ransacked the interior and took small items, such as drum sticks, pencils and a whistle. Juvenile petitions were pending for three Alexandria area boys, two aged 14 and one aged 16.

Franconia Road 5800 block - Wallet reported stolen.
Frontier Drive 6800 block - Hubcaps taken from parked vehicle.
Gunston Plaza 7700 block - Groceries taken from business.
La Vista Drive 5600 block - Stereo taken from parked vehicle.
Latour Court 7100 block - Stereo taken from parked vehicle.
Lensfield Court 7200 block - Fishing equipment taken from parked vehicle.
Old Keene Mill Road 7100 block - Purse reported stolen.
Peverill Drive 5900 block - Go cart taken from residence.
