The following incidents were reported to the Reston District of Fairfax County.
<cal1>Assault on A Police Officer
<1st>12000 block of Bowman Towne Drive. Surinder Bangar, 21, of no fixed address, was arrested and charged with felony assault on a police officer. Bangar walked into the lobby of the Reston District Police Station and asked to see Officer Steven Depue. When Officer Depue came into the lobby, Bangar assaulted him. Officer Depue was not injured.
<cal1>Robbery
<1st>12200 block of Leesburg Pike. On July 15 at about 3 a.m., two men walked into the Shell service station. One went to use the ATM, while the other went to the counter and announced a robbery. The victim clerk placed the cash drawer on the counter and the suspect removed the money and fled. The second man then fled as well. The suspects were described as black and in their 30s. The first suspect was described as six feet tall and weighing 160 pounds. He was wearing a blue shirt and a tan cloth over his face. The suspect who used the ATM was described as six feet tall and weighing 200 pounds. He was wearing a white T-shirt and blue shorts.

11600 block of Chapel Cross Way. Two bicycles reported stolen.
2200 block of Cocquina Drive. Tools taken from parked vehicle.
13400 block of Coppermine Road. Gasoline taken from service station without payment being made.
1900 block of Crescent Park Drive. Compact discs and jewelry taken from parked vehicle.
2400 block of Dakota Lakes Drive. Credit cards reported stolen.
2000 block of Edmund Halley Drive. Computer monitor taken from business.
11900 block of Freedom Drive. Cellular telephone reported stolen.
1600 block of Hiddenbrook Drive. Cash taken from parked vehicle.
11100 block of Lakespray Way. Stereo taken from parked vehicle.
12400 block of Oliver Cromwell Drive. Portable radio and clothing taken from parked vehicle.
12100 block of Sanibel Court. License plates taken from parked vehicle.
11800 block of Sunrise Valley Drive. Cigarettes taken from business.
1000 block of Utterback Store Road. Computer reported stolen.
11900 block of Winterthur Lane. License plates taken from parked vehicle.
