Civic Organizations

One of the best ways for a resident to have an impact in the county is to become an active participant in their local homeowners association. Montgomery County is honeycombed with such organization, and virtually every residential unit in the county falls under the umbrella of one of these organizations.

To find out which particular organization an individual house falls under, contact the Park and Planning Office of Community Relations 301-495-4600.

Community Relations maintains a list of the president of each organization. However, they only update that list when they are notified by the organization of a change in the leadership, so their information is not always current. If the information they provide is out of date, the best option is probably to contact others in the neighborhood.
