Life Line Screening performs ultrasound screenings for stroke, abdominal aneurysm, arterial blockages in legs and osteoporosis. The tests are painless, take only 10 minutes and cost $40 each. The vascular package (three tests) is $99. All four tests cost $125. Results are reviewed by board certified physicians and returned within three weeks. The next screen is scheduled for Friday, Jan. 31, 10 a.m.- 3 p.m., at Christ United Methodist Church, 8285 Glen Eagles Lane, Fairfax Station. Registration is required at 1-800-407-4557.

La Leche League of Burke will meet on Feb. 1, at 9:30 a.m., at the Burke Presbyterian Church on Oak Leather Drive off Burke Center Parkway. The breast-feeding support group offers help and support to mothers who are currently breast-feeding a child or anyone who plans to breast-feed. Expectant and new mothers are encouraged to attend. The topic will be "Baby Arrives: The Family and the Breast-Fed Baby," but all questions and concerns will be addressed. The meeting is free, and babies are welcome. The Counseling Program at Northern Virginia Family Service is hosting Coping in Stressful Times, an interactive workshop that teaches practical skills for reducing and managing stress. The workshop will take place Saturday Feb. 8, from 9:30 a.m.-12 p.m., at the Falls Church Community Center, 223 Little Falls St., Falls Church. This workshop welcomes adult men, women and mature teens. Coping in Stressful Times is not a therapy group and is not intended as treatment for depression, anxiety, or other disorders.
