Santa came to many homes this Christmas, but unfortunately for Louise Willis of 8706 Linton Lane, she received a visit from the Grinch instead.
Over a period of two weeks, most of her expensive and carefully arranged Christmas decorations were stolen—supposedly, she believes, by some kids late at night.
"I'm 75 years old and handicapped. I'm so upset," said Willis, a former display designer who has been setting up seasonal displays in her yard for years.
For example, on Valentine's Day, she displays cupids and red hearts; the bunnies and Easter baskets come out in the spring; Fourth of July honors the red, white and blue; and for Halloween there's an appropriate display as well.
TAKEN FROM her yard were large mirrored balls, snow queen and ball, a Santa Claus head and birds.
"If somebody finds them, please call the police," said Willis, who reported the theft to police but has not heard of any action taken thus far.
Shortly after the theft, she posted a sign in her yard, telling neighbors that her display items had been stolen. One man stopped by and offered her $100, but she politely refused. She's just hoping that somebody will know where the items are and get them returned to her.
