Park View defeated Potomac Falls in the Spirit Link contest that ended on Feb. 6. For the duration of a week, students and teachers donated money to benefit the United Way Foundation. A check was presented to a sponsor from the Foundation at the basketball game that evening. Park View raised a total of $3,669.
The Multicultural Club showed off their diverse skills at an assembly that was held during school on Feb. 5. Students from all ethnic backgrounds dressed in ensembles from their culture and introduced different forms of dance to the school.
Twelve Park View swimmers competed on Feb. 15 in the state competition at Old Dominion University.
Lots of spirit was shown throughout Park View from Feb. 10-14. Monday began with Hat/Mismatch Day, Tuesday followed with Twin/Crazy Sock or Tie Day, Wednesday was College Gear Day, Thursday was Sports Teams, and Friday ended with Red, White, and Blue Day. Friday began with a morning pep rally. The Winter Cheerleaders, Dance Team, Jazz Band, Step Team, and Competition Cheerleading Squad all showed off their talent with great performances.
The Varsity Basketball Team lost in a close game against Potomac Falls on Feb. 6 with a final score of 47-40. The team came back and defeated Stone Bridge on Feb. 11, winning with a score of 50-44. This served as the team's last home game of the season, as well as Senior Night in which parents of cheerleaders, dance team members, and basketball players escorted members across the court.
