<lst>The following students were selected by dance legend Arthur Mitchell to participate in the Kennedy Center's Dance Theatre of Harlem Residency: Kendall Cherry, 9, of Springfield Estates Elementary in Springfield; Megan Hislop, 12, of Irving Middle School in Springfield; Idil Mohamed-Bray, 15, of Fairfax High School in Fairfax; and Sam Surette, 10, of Mantua Elementary in Fairfax.

Amanda Lea Hoeser will be named in the 2003 Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges as a national outstanding leader on campus at Lynchburg College in Central Virginia. Hoeser is a 1999 graduate of Robinson Secondary School and the daughter of Steven and Nancy Hoeser of Burke.

Susan Nangle Noe of Fairfax was inducted into the Manhattan College's Alumni Society Athletic Hall of Fame on Dec. 7. Noe is a 1986 graduate of the Riverside, N.Y., school.

In her freshman year, Noe was selected for the MAAC All-Rookie Team and the MAAC All-Conference School Team. In her junior year, she reached the 1,000 point milestone in basketball, becoming only the third Lady Jasper to reach the mark.

During her basketball career at Manhattan College, Noe was placed on the All-Academic Team and in 1986 was "Most Valuable Player" at the Wagner College Christmas Tournament as well as being recognized as "Player of the Year" for the Lady Jaspers.
