Great Falls Tavern got its annual dose of green earlier this week.
The Little Falls Garden Club conducted its annual decorating of Great Falls Tavern on Dec. 8.
The club, which has been in existence since 1961, first began decorating the Tavern between 20 and 25 years ago. “We just do it as a community service,” said Carol Smith, president of the Club. “It’s something we’ve been interested in for a long time.”
The club currently has approximately 45 active and 30 inactive members, Smith said.
The club will also be donating funds to the Friends of the Great Falls Tavern, a group which assists in maintaining the historic landmark, said Carroll Mackey, publicity chair for the club.
