Crime Report

The following incidents were reported by the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.

<cal1>Bomb Threat

<lst>Dulles Town Circle, Dulles. At 1:44 p.m. on Nov. 22, a Dulles Town Center security officer received a bomb threat via the telephone. Mall security and the Sheriff's Office conducted a coordinated search of the mall with negative results.

<cal1>Filing a False Report

<lst>200 block of W. Holly Ave., Sterling. At 10:45 a.m. on Nov. 20, two Sterling females, a 13 -year-old and a 14-year-old Sterling females reported that they had been abducted on their way to school. A lookout was posted for a suspect vehicle and the incident was investigated. The incident was determined to be unfounded. Charges are pending against the two juveniles.

<cal1>Aggravated Assault

<lst>45300 block of Catalina Court, Sterling. At 3:05 a.m. on Nov. 27, a 46-year-old Sterling man says an unknown Black male subject assaulted him. The victim told sheriff's deputies he had exited a room at the Homestead Suites when a Black male near the stairwell approached him. The subject pointed an object at the victim, possibly a firearm, and told him not to move. The victim began to struggle with subject and the victim was able to runaway. The man was then approached by a van driven by a second Black male who yelled towards him. The victim fled the scene and notified the Sheriff's Office. He was taken to Loudoun Hospital where he was treated and released.

<cal1>Suspicious Event

<lst>Ashburn Road, in the area of Stubble Road. At 10:45 a.m. on Nov. 27, a 20-year-old Ashburn man reported a possible road rage incident to sheriff's deputies. The victim says he was traveling north on Ashburn Road when he noticed a vehicle tailgating him. According to the victim the driver of the suspect vehicle pulled out what appeared to be a knife. The victim turned off of Ashburn Road as the suspect vehicle continued northbound.

60 block of Sugarland Run Road, Sterling. Around 2:30 p.m. on Nov. 21, an unknown Black male subject asked a 7-year-old Sterling female if she wanted to drive with him. A lookout was posted for the subject who is described as being 35-45 years old with gray hair. He was wearing glasses at the time of the incident. The vehicle is described as being blue in color possible two tones with two doors.

<cal1>Missile at an Occupied Dwelling

<lst>47500 block of Rippling Place, Sterling. At 11:40 p.m. on Nov. 21, unknown subject(s) threw bottles and rocks at a residence causing damage to a bedroom window. Value was set at $200.

<cal1>Missile at an Occupied Vehicle

<lst>Route 15 South at Route 672. At 8 a.m. on Nov. 22, unknown subject(s) threw a metallic item at a vehicle causing damage. The incident began in Maryland when the suspect vehicle attempted to pass the victim on Route 15. The suspect vehicle had eventually passed the victim and had stopped on the side of the road at the listed location of the incident. The suspect vehicle is described as a silver "T" Bird. Value was $600.

<cal1>Burglary

<lst>20700 block of Quiet Brook Place, Sterling. Around 12:30 p.m. on Nov. 23, unknown subject(s) entered an unsecured garage of a residence. The unknown subject(s) had entered the attic of the garage. Nothing was removed in the incident.

21800 block of Blossom Hill Terrace, Ashburn. Around 3:30 a.m. on Nov. 22, 21-year-old Michael Anderson of Sterling was charged after he attempted to gain entry into a residence occupied by a 41-year-old Ashburn woman and her infant. The door of the residence was damaged in the incident. When confronted by a sheriff's deputy the subject attempted to resist arrest. Anderson was charged with attempting to break and enter, destruction of property and obstruction of justice.

Tall Cedars Parkway, South Riding. Some time between 4 p.m. on Nov. 18 and 5 a.m. on Nov. 19, unknown subject(s) entered a company storage trailer and removed an air compressor, a wood chipper and two chain saws. Value was $1,486.

<cal1>Larceny

<lst>43100 block of Broadlands Center Plaza, Sterling. Some time between 1 and 7 a.m. on Nov. 26, unknown subject(s) removed a construction trash bin from the rear of a building. The trash bin was located in a parking lot. Value was $1,200.

20900 block of Professional Plaza, Ashburn. Some time between 5:30 and 6:15 p.m. on Nov. 26, unknown subject(s) entered a vehicle damaging the passenger side window and removed tools, a gas mask and its accessories. Value was $1,426.

21100 block of Stone Wheel Way, Ashburn. Some time between 12:30 and 4 p.m. on Nov. 20, unknown subject(s) removed a delivery package from the front of a residence. Value was set at $300.

22400 block of Pine Top Court, Ashburn. Around noon on Nov. 21, unknown subject(s) removed a generator from a van. Value was set at $900.

46200 block of Trillium Square, Sterling. Some time between 4 p.m. on Nov. 22 and 7 a.m. on Nov. 23, unknown subject(s) removed four rims and four tires from a vehicle. The car sustained damage in the incident.

Value was set at $1,412.

44100 block of Mercure Circle, Sterling. Some time between 12:01 a.m. on Sept. 20 and 11:59 p.m. on Oct. 28, unknown subject(s) removed from a warehouse computer monitors and equipment, and several big screen televisions. The thefts occurred during the listed time period. Value was $15,200.
